  • Sanku

    Sanku is a nonprofit social enterprise working to end hidden hunger in Eastern Africa by ensuring every meal contains lifesaving nutrients. We partner with over 1700 millers across Tanzania ... Kenya, and Ethiopia, equipping them with our IoT-enabled Dosifier to fortify maize and wheat flour, alongside affordable nutrient premix, training, and quality assurance. We also work with governments to strengthen fortification systems.

    Today, Sanku reaches 73 million people daily, including low-income families and vulnerable populations, at a cost of just $0.09 per person/year.

    To reduce costs and strengthen supply chains, we launched Eastern and Central Africa’s first Nutrient Premix Blending Factory in Dar es Salaam in 2024, with a second expected to be completed in Ethiopia in 2026 to support scale to 100 million people.
